Work with LUXD

Start a project, or help build what comes next.

LUXD is William Blake, a designer. If you have a project, start here. If you have a skill LUXD needs, the open partner roles are below.

How LUXD chooses partners

What you can do matters more than where you have been.

A degree is fine. A famous employer is fine. Neither is required. William looks at the work you can show, how you think through a problem and how much you want to build.

If you can do the work and have not yet had the chance to show it, tell William what you can do. He makes the decisions, so you talk to him directly.

Open partner roles

Three roles are open.

These are partner roles. The terms for each one are agreed in a written proposal before any work starts. Nothing is promised until it is agreed in writing, and a partner role does not make you an employee or a legal partner of LUXD LTD unless the written proposal says so. Apply with the role that fits best, or tell William what you do if it is not listed.

  • CTO and full-stack engineer

    Google Cloud and app deployment

    The work
Lead the engineering side of LUXD's products and client apps, from the first build to deployment and the day-to-day running of what ships.
    Who it suits
A full-stack engineer who has shipped real applications and knows Google Cloud well, including how to deploy, monitor and look after an app in production.
    The terms
A partner role. The arrangement is agreed in writing before work starts.

Apply for this role, CTO and full-stack engineer

  • Cybersecurity and pen-testing lead

EU compliance and app security audits

    The work
Lead security for what LUXD builds: app security audits, penetration testing, and keeping products in line with EU regulatory requirements.
    Who it suits
Someone who can test an application properly, explain the risk in plain English and knows what EU rules ask of a product.
    The terms
A partner role. The arrangement is agreed in writing before work starts.

Apply for this role, Cybersecurity and pen-testing lead

  • Growth, sales and marketing partner

    Paid by commission

    The work
Bring in the right projects and clients, and help LUXD be found and understood by the people it can help.
    Who it suits
Someone who can start conversations with the right people, work out who is a good fit and win the work, and who is happy to be paid on results.
    The terms
Paid by commission. You take a share of each project you help win and deliver, in proportion to your involvement. The split is agreed in writing before work starts.

Good at something that is not listed? Tell William what you do.

How it works, from hello to proposal.

Applications go through the contact form, which sends your message to William by email. If it cannot be sent, it prepares an email draft in your own email app instead. Please leave out passwords and confidential documents, and read the privacy notice before sending personal information.

  1. Send your work

A few lines on what you want to build, and links to what you have made. Links are better than a CV.

  2. Talk it through

A conversation with William, to see whether you want the same things.

  3. Agree it in writing

If it fits, a written proposal covers the role, the terms and what each side does.
